Dutas is an oral medication manufactured by Dr. Reddy's Laboratories and containing active substance Dutasteride which inhibits the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone. Dutas is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate. It also helps improve urinary flow and may reduce the need for prostate surgery later on. The average dosage of Dutas is 0.5 mg taken once daily. Dutasteride should never be taken by a woman or a child.
