Finasteride 5 is an oral drug manufactured by Balkan Pharmaceuticals and containing active substance Finasteride which belongs to a class of medications called 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. Finasteride treats benign prostatic hypertrophy by blocking the body's production of a male hormone that causes the prostate to enlarge. Finasteride is also used in easing of several androgenic side effects associated with the use of anabolic steroids. The usual dosage of Finasteride varies from 1 to 5 mg per day. In case of treatment the medication should be used for three months or more.
