

Fertomid 50 mg is an oral drug manufactured by Cipla, India and containing active substance Clomiphene Citrate and is used in medicine to treat infertility in women. It works by stimulating an increase in the amount of hormones that support the growth and release of a mature egg (ovulation). Among bodybuilders and athletes Fertomid is known to restore the body's natural production of Testosterone. It is commonly used as a recovery medication and is taken at the end of a steroid usage period as part of post cycle therapy. Fertomid comes in boxes, each unit containing 50 pills (50 mg/pill).
Fertomid is very important in post cycle therapy because makes the endogenous Testosterone levels to be brought back to normal. Otherwise after the anabolic steroid usage a dramatic loss in size and strength is likely to occur. It also has the property to reduce the adverse effect of damage of muscle tissues as a result of exercises. Fertomid is an effective antagonist in the hypothalamus and in breast tissue. The normal dosage of Fertomid for male bodybuilders is 50-100 mg per day, but some users take the dosage of 100 mg daily. This quantity should be taken over period between 4 and 6 weeks. The dosage should be lower in the first day with gradual increase to 100 mg in days 2-11, then followed by a lowering to 50 mg in days 12-21. The active life of this compound is between 5 and 7 days. Some body builders recommend increasing the dose to 100 mg/day if no effects are seen. Fertomid can be taken with HCG - Human Chorionic Gonadotropin for the first week or two after the steroids use. HCG should not be used for longer than two or three weeks otherwise it will increase the Testosterone and estrogen levels. Once the HCG is stopped, the user continues treatment with Fertomid alone.
Fertomid is a relatively mild drug with relatively insignificant side effects. However one can experience: nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, breast tenderness or discomfort, tenderness, pressure, or swelling, flushing, headache or abnormal uterine bleeding. Fertomid acts on the brain and may provoke visual disturbances and mood changes. People should address the physician if they feel prolonged allergic reactions to this drug like difficulty breathing, tightness in the chest, swelling of the mouth, rash, hives, itching, face, lips, or tongue.
