Exedrol is an oral drug manufactured by Balkan Pharmaceuticals and containing as active substance Exemestane. Exemestane is an oral steroidal aromatase inhibitor that is used in ER-positive breast cancer in addition to surgery and radiation in post-menopausal women. Exedrol works by decreasing the amount of estrogen produced by the body. This can slow or stop the growth of some breast tumors that need estrogen to grow. For bodybuilders and athletes it is used for post cycle therapy or to counter the estrogenic side effects from aromatizable steroids. Exedrol comes in boxes, each unit containing 60 pills (25 mg/pill).
Exedrol works by limiting the conversion of Testosterone into estrogen and its average rate of estrogen suppression is 85%. It also reduces the estradiol levels of about 50%, as well increases Testosterone to a significant level. Exemestane not only increases Testosterone and lowers estrogen, but it also increases levels of insulin-like growth Factor (IGF). Also Exedrol is less harsh on blood lipids than some of the other (similar) compounds used by bodybuilders and athletes. Exemestane can be used in cutting cycle.
Exedrol has a very short life - between 26 and 34 hours. 25 Mg per day is enough for maintaining the estrogen related side effects away, and increase the natural Testosterone levels. The dose is usually taken after the meals. If one dose is not taken, let it go and stick to your normal regime. The dose should not be doubled in any case. In post cycle therapy it also can be taken with Nolvadex and Clomid.
Exedrol is a very mild compound and generates very few if not taking it in too high dosages. The main side effects that may occur while using it are trouble sleeping, anxiety, back, joint, muscle, or limb pain, constipation, coughing, diarrhea, dizziness, fatigue, flu-like symptoms, hair loss, weight gain, headache, hot flashes, increased or decreased appetite, increased sweating, joint pain, nausea, stomach pain or upset and tiredness.
