Epotropin (Erythropoietin) by Hygene: results, dosages, cycles and side effects
Epotropin is an injectable drug manufactured by Hygene, China and containing Erythropoietin which is a glycoprotein hormone that controls erythropoiesis, or red blood cell production. It is a cytokine (protein signaling molecule) for erythrocyte (red blood cell) precursors in the bone marrow. It also has other known biological functions. For example, erythropoietin plays an important role in the brain's response to neuronal injury. EPO is also involved in the wound healing process. For athletes and bodybuilders it is considered a performance-enhancing drug, it is classified as an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent. It also can be used for fat loss. Epotropin comes in kits of 25 vials x 4000 IU/vial.
Epotropin EPO is useful for athletes to increase aerobic efficiency through greater oxygen transport in the blood and there is some evidence suggesting Erythropoietin may also have anabolic effects. It is important to know that Epotropin is an essential hormone for red cell production. Without it, definitive erythropoiesis, the process of red cell production, does not take place. Bodybuilders prefer this drug because it offers endurance and effective means by which they are able to elevate their red blood cell production and concentration in a relatively convenient and efficient manner. With Epotropin the oxygen is delivered much more easily to the muscle tissues.
The male bodybuilders usually need a dosage in the range of 5 to 10 IU per day to achieve the expected results. There can be used a daily dosage of 2 to 6 IU daily, especially for the beginners. Peak blood concentrations are noted quickly (2 to 6 hours) after injection, and the hormone is cleared from the body with a half-life of only 20-30 minutes. It is important to know that the effects of Epotropin are most pronounced when it is used for longer periods of time, often many months long. When it is used for the purposes of weight loss the period of administration can be shorter. Epotropin can be administrated in forms of intramuscular and subcutaneous injections.
The most common side effects that may occur while using Epotropin are acromegaly, or a noticeable thickening of the bones, on the feet, forehead, hands, jaw and elbows. The product can also enlarge vital organs such as the heart and kidney, and has been linked to hypoglycemia and diabetes. Erythropoietin is associated with an increased risk of adverse cardiovascular complications in patients with kidney disease if it is used to increase hemoglobin levels above the normal amount and recommended dosage.
