Ventolin 2 mg (Salbutamol) by GlaxoSmithKline: results, dosages and side effects

Ventolin 2 mg is an oral drug manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline containing Salbutamol which is a short-acting 2-adrenergic receptor agonist used for the relief of bronchospasm in conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases. Salbutamol works by acting on receptors in the lungs called beta 2 receptors. When salbutamol stimulates these receptors it causes the muscles in the airways to relax. This allows the airways to open. For body building purposes it is useful in fat burning and is effective in preparation for various competitions and sport events. Ventolin 2 mg comes in boxes, each unit containing 100 pills (2 mg/pill).

Ventolin is used in medicine to treat or prevent bronchospasm in patients with asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, and other lung diseases. For athletes and bodybuilders it is a great fat burner. Ventolin has the ability to stimulate fat cells, decrease appetite, increase lypolysis, increase body temperature, as well as increasing basal metabolic rate. With a proper diet and well established training program Ventolin is also very effective in increasing the anabolism. But it is often said that to reach the anabolic effect of Ventolin bodybuilders should use beyond safety limit.

The recommended dosage at start is 2 mg per day then up to 16 mg a day, taken in either 2 doses with 8 -10 hours interval between them or 4 doses with 4 hours interval. Ventolin has a half life of 4-5 hours. However optimal doses are different for each patient and vary depending on the patient's age, weight, symptoms, blood levels of thyroid hormone and underlying conditions .The cycle of Ventolin usage is about 3-4 weeks, then a week of break. Stacking with other compounds may lead to serious effects. But if the organism is strong enough Ventolin can be combined with other adrenergic agonists, like Ephedra. At start athletes may stack it with lower doses and then according to the body reactions, to follow larger doses.

The main side effects of Ventolin are tremor, anxiety, headache, muscle cramps, dry mouth, and palpitation, tachycardia, arrhythmia, flushing, and disturbances of sleep and behaviour. It should be used with care or avoided by persons with disorders as Diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure (hypertension), Hyperthyroidism or irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias). Other rarely occurring but important side effects are: paradoxical bronchospasm, urticaria, angioedema and hypotension.
